                           The Angels Know
                 A Christian Fictional Short Story

At a playground not far from a church orphanage a young boy from that same church orphanage was
bouncing his ball around, an elderly priest. Who was sitting watching like it was his own grandson.
With a smile on his face. When the young man starts over to speak to a couple of street punks. The old
priest gets up and chases them off. The young man became angered and screamed at the old priest.
Saying why did you do that? They were going to help me get some cash to buy me a bike. The old
priest put his hands on his shoulders, and took him to the side, and asked him at what price would such
a gift come at? The young boy just looked at the ground, and replied they were just going to have me
run some stuff up the street. The old priest said you mean drugs. Don’t you? The boy looked down, and
to the side in shame, and replied yes sir. The old priest asked the boy why would you want to be
involved in such a thing? That’s when the boy began to cry telling the old priest I am an orphan. My
parents died in an accident when I was very little, and without that money I will never be able to have a
great bike for a birthday or even on Christmas gift. Heck I can’t even get anyone to adopt me. They say
I am too old, and not cute enough, and that my mental illness is too much baggage for anyone to want
to adopt a kid like me. That’s when the elderly priest sat the boy down and told him his life story. He
said I was a small-time street hustler back in the day, and I had no guilt for the people that got hurt
while I bull dosed my way into others' lives taking what I wanted and leaving my victims helpless
without any kind of moral support. I was the type that would set the world on fire just to watch how
high the flames could rise, and how many people they could consume at one time, and as long as I got,
and stayed rich I didn’t give a crap. Then that one night came and changed my life forever. The night
that I met them I mean. That very night was December 23rd, 1999, I had just finished stacking my money in my warehouse safe and was locking it up for the night. I kept it there in case I needed to leave and start over at the drop of a hat if you get my drift. Anyway, right after I had finished locking my money up. I went and sat down at my desk. Everything was ok until
three men walked in wearing what looked like ancient robes. with hoods of some sort. I couldn’t see
their faces. As they were overshadowed by a cloth face mask. Golden colored ones at that. But their
eyes glowed with a radiating, and deep glow unlike anything I had ever seen before in my past. To say
that fear had made a place in my heart, and pitched its tent there that night would have been an
understatement. As they came closer, I jumped backwards out of pure terror. But they told me with a
deep voice. As if they were unified in some way. That I needed not to be afraid. Then one touched my
face, and a tear fell from my eye. As a feeling of pure love, and purity came over me. It was as if I was
in the presence of a never-ending love. Then they moved back a bit and spoke to me letting me know their reason for the visit. They told me that I was to take all of the money that I had taken from others.
To the place where my helicopter was sitting, and that I was to get in my helicopter, and throw all of
the money over the city to help the needy. They said they would be waiting right there when I was
finished, and that they would know if I did not follow their instructions, and that afterwards they had
something else to tell me about my own destiny. So, I went forward onto the roof and boarded my
helicopter. Starting it up after loading the huge sacks of all of my money onto it. Then I lifted off into
the sky. I dropped money all over the city's poorest areas. Screaming down at the people its a blessing
from God himself. Once I was finished, I returned back to my warehouse where the angels were still
waiting on me, and I sat at my desk as I was out of breath. I asked them what else that they wanted me to do, and why. So, as they said they would before they
told me what came next and why. They informed me that I was to sell off everything else that was
mine. Then take the funds from those sales, and donate them to the cancer society, the save the children
with disease foundation, and to the feed the homeless foundation. Afterwards they said they wanted me
to go to the church, and give my life to God, and become a priest, and so that’s what I did back then,
and I have been one ever since. You see the lesson I had to learn was that at no matter the cost. Do to
the fact that I had always been a taker at the cost of others pain, and misfortune. As payback for those
sins. I now had to live to serve God, and his only begotten son Jesus Christ. Our true king, and savior,
and to do that I must give my life in the service of others, while spreading the word of God everywhere
all of the time. So, you see young man there is no hope in taking money earned by the constant
suffering of others. But when we serve God, and Jesus Christ our only true king and savior. Blessings,
and miracles come with a value that no material item could ever possess. Then the boy replied with, but
I am just a kid. How could I serve God? I wouldn’t know where to start. That’s when the priest handed
the boy a bible, and said You can start by reading this book here, and do you want to know a secret? He
asked the boy, and the boy replied with what's that sir. I want you to look in the end of the bible that I
gave you. There is a miracle there. That will help you get a brand-new bike. The boy's face lit up with a
big smile, and he turned to the back of the bible, and sure enough there was two hundred dollars that
the old priest had slipped into the back of the bible. While he was telling the boy the story. So that he
was to distracted to see him do it. Then he told the boy come on I’ll take you to the bicycle store, and
we will get you that bike. But only on one condition. What's that the boy replied. That is that you never
forget that the angels are always watching. The boy said I will never forget, and the boy ran ahead of
him a few steps that when the old priest looked back at the sky and saw Jesus standing in the clouds
with a smile on his face. Confirming how proud he was at how far the priest had come in his journey,
and the priest looked back at Jesus smiling, and said thank you lord for saving my life, and everyone
else's as well. Then he walked on to take the boy to get his bike. Later on, that day. When the old priest
brought him back to the orphanage with his bike in hand of course. The Nun at the orphanage was so
excited for the boy. Because it turned out that a nice Christian Dr, and his wife wanted to adopt him.
They said they saw his picture on the orphanage photos, and claimed he was exactly what they were
searching for. The boy was in tears of joy, and afterwards would never have to worry about his future ever again. The priest got in his truck and headed back to the church. But on the way he had a car
accident and was killed. The EMT’s and firemen. Salvaged his body from the flaming truck and laid it on the ground. as the priest soul watched himself being laid on the ground those same angels that came to him way earlier in his life arrived, and he smiled at them, and asked am I going to be ok. They said yes you fulfilled your last mission. As you have saved the soul of that young boy, and you will be
wonderful and at peace. Because God has been building you a place in heaven, and it is ready now for
you. To stay there in paradise. For all eternity. As you my friend have surely earned it. Then they
walked away into the light forever.

13 years later

That same boy that the old priest saved from sin and bought him his first bike. Had grown up and
become a scientist. Who very much still believed in God, and his son Jesus Christ our only true king
and savior, and as a scientist he discovered the cure for cancer, and mental illness, and he always
remembered that the angels were watching at that they always knew what he was doing.
The moral of this story is this, God, and his only begotten son Jesus Christ our only true king, and
savior is our only hope in this world. So, we all should follow him and only him as well as we should
spread the Bible aka the Gospel always.
